Clare is a Kew-trained horticulturist with more than 30 years experience in the industry.  She has spent her entire working life searching for the perfect gardening product - this is how Donkey Gloves and ultimately the brand Donkey Works were born.  

Clare’s Passion for Gardening and Animals

Clare’s love for nature shines through in her gardening and care for animals. Whether tending to fresh produce or bonding with her farm animals, she embraces each season’s challenges with joy. Her hands-on approach and deep connection to the land inspire others to grow, nurture, and live in harmony with nature.

Animal sanctuary in Dartmoor

HQ for Donkey Work is Clare’s Farm, a privately owned animal sanctuary on Dartmoor. It is run solely by Clare and partly funded by the sale of Donkey Works products.
